During Warner Bros. Discovery's presentation to investors and the press on April 12, it was announced that HBO Max has officially ordered a television series adaptation of the widely beloved book series, "Harry Potter." The confirmation of the series came after it had been previously rumored. Additionally, the presentation revealed that HBO Max and Discovery will merge into a new service named Max.

Format and Production: Each Book Corresponds to One Season, New Cast, and Production Team

Each season of the upcoming "Harry Potter" TV series will correspond to one book from the franchise, and the entire series will span a decade. The show will feature a new cast different from the films. 

Executive Producers: J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts

Brontë Film and TV, Warner Bros. Television, and Max will collaborate to produce the series. J.K. Rowling, along with Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts, will serve as executive producers. David Heyman is currently in discussions to also be an executive producer.

Casey Bloys, the CEO and chairman of HBO & Max Content, expressed excitement about the upcoming "Harry Potter" TV series, stating that they are thrilled to offer viewers a fresh perspective on Hogwarts.
