IIFA 2022: Salman Khan will host IIFA Awards at his favourite place Abu Dhabi

The upcoming edition of IIFA is going to be a grand celebration that will take place at Salman Khan’s favorite destination. The award function is awaited by fans and it is going to happen on 18 and 19 March 2022 in Abu Dhabi.

On Tuesday, The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) made the official announcement of IIFA Weekend and Awards 22nd edition which is going to take place at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on 18th and 19th March 2022.

The event is going to be grand because of its location and secondly because Dabang star Salman Khan is going to host the show. IIFA 2022 will be held at Yas Island’s state-of-the-art indoor entertainment venue Eithad Arena which will be in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi, and Miral.

A statement has been issued by IIFA stating, “Commemorating the 75th year of India’s independence and the UAE’s year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations, marking its 50th anniversary, the highly anticipated 22nd edition of IIFA will showcase a grand celebration of Indian cinema’s finest talent, bringing together global dignitaries, international media, fans and film enthusiasts from across the world.”

Talkinh about the grand celebration, Salman Khan also issued a statement, “It will be an even bigger celebration as we celebrate the 75th year of India’s independence and UAE’s 50th Anniversary-Golden Jubilee celebration. Over the last 21 years, IIFA has not only given Indian Cinema an international platform, but it has created a wonderful opportunity to take us to our fans and connect millions of people globally.”

On account of hosting the IIFA Awards Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, of DCT Abu Dhabi, said the Indian market occupies “key strategic position” for the emirate.

He continued, “In addition, we have enjoyed a great bond with India’s movie industry, that has for many years been attracted to the UAE capital by our high-quality infrastructure, so the addition of the IIFA to Abu Dhabi’s calendar of events aligns perfectly with our 5-year strategy to develop the cultural and creative industries.

“Hosting an event such as this also demonstrates the UAE capital’s appeal for attracting internationally-renowned entertainment, and the confidence organizers have in the emirate’s superior facilities, expertise, and stringent health and safety protocols”.

CEO of Miral, Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi also expressed his excitement as he said it an honor for Abu Dhabi to witness IIFA Weekend and Awards.

This is going to be the seventh consecutive time that NEXA will be collaborating with Miral and DCT Abu Dhabi for the glammed-up IIFA Awards.
