IIFA Awards 2022: Vicky Kaushal's 'Sardar Udham', Sara Ali Khan's 'Atrangi Re' win top honours

IIFA Awards 2022 Winners: Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal's 'Sardar Udham' and Sara Ali Khan's 'Atrangi Re' has won top honours at IIFA Rocks 2022.

The ceremony honours the best technical talent in the Hindi film industry. This year, it was held at the Etihad Arena, part of Yas Bay Waterfront on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Helmed by Shoojit Sircar, Sardar Udham, featuring Vicky Kaushal, won the best cinematography (Avik Mukhopadhayay), best editing (Chandrashekhar Prajapati), and best special effects (Visuals) (NY VFXwaala, Edit FX Studios, Main Road Post Russia and Super8/ BOJP.)

On the other hand, Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re, featuring Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan, and Akshay Kumar, won the best choreography for Chaka Chak (Vijay Ganguly) and background score (AR Rahman).

Likewise, Sidharth Malhotra-led Vikram Batra biopic 'Shershaah' won the best screenplay award (Sandeep Shrivastava) while Taapsee Pannu-starrer 'Thappad' won the best dialogues (Anubhav Sinha and Mrunmayee Lagoo).

Besides, Ajay Devgn's period action drama 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' bagged the best sound design (Lochan Kanvinde) while Kabir Khan's 83, a film based on the Indian cricket team's 1983 World Cup triumph, won the best sound mixing award (Ajay Kumar PB and Manik Batra).
