IIFA Awards 2022: 'We should keep KK, Sidhu Moose Wala's legacy alive', says Asees Kaur

IIFA Awards 2022: The untimely death of singers Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK and Sidhu Moose Wala created a void in the music industry. Like many other singers, Asees Kaur was left shaken after hearing about the unfortunate deaths of KK and Sidhu Moose Wala.

While talking to news agency ANI, during a media event at IIFA Awards 2022, Asees Kaur paid homage to singers Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK and Sidhu Moose Wala.

"Both (KK and Sidhu Moose Wala) are legends. We should pay respect to them by keeping their music legacy alive... that's what all matters. Remember them by listening to their legendary songs," said Asees Kaur, who will be performing at IIFA Awards 2022.

Sidhu Moose Wala, one of the most prominent celebrities in Punjab, was shot dead on May 29 in Punjab's Mansa district.

On the other hand, Krishnakumar Kunnath, known by his stage name KK, died on May 31 at the age of 53. He fell ill while performing at an event in Kolkata and was brought to the CMRI hospital, where he was declared dead.

In yet another shocker from the music industry, a Santoor maestro Pandit Bhajan Sopori and a Delhi-based Indie Musician Sheil Sagar died on June 2.

Not just this, the music industry lost several legendary singers this year. Earlier this year, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, singer Bappi Lahiri and Canadian singer Tarsame Singh Saini aka Taz passed away.

And now, singer Sidhu Moose Wala and Bollywood playback singer KK died.
