Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took a dig at director Karan Johar ahead of the release of his upcoming show, 'Koffee With Karan Season 7'. She targetted the filmmaker for not promoting the infamous episode that featured her as a guest.
Taking a dig at Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut referred to him as "Papa Jo" and called the said episode a "surgical strike."
Kangana Ranaut share a screenshot on her Instagram from the said episode of Koffee With Karan. She wrote: "Papa jo is promoting all famous coffee episode as it premieres on OTT today, good luck to Papa Jo... but what about this episode oh sorry!!! surgical strike, ghar mein ghusss ke mara tha, my episode is his most popular episode and after this he got banned on tv..."
For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut featured in 'Koffee With Karan' with Saif Ali Khan. The said episode sparked several controversies, including the nepotism debate.
Kangana had called Karan Johar the "flagbearer of nepotism" and criticised him for launching star kids. Notably, the debate hasn't died since.
Koffee With Karan Season 7 will stream on Disney+Hotstar on July 7. The guests include Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akshay Kumar among others.
