'Kantara' prequel: 'Kantara' prequel announced: Rishab Shetty, the star of the blockbuster film "Kantara," has revealed that the upcoming instalment will be a prequel tale. At a ceremony in Bengaluru to commemorate "Kantara's" 100 days in theatres, the multihyphenate artist revealed information about the eagerly awaited movie.

A little town called Kantara, which resides in the Kaadubettu forests in the southern coastal state of Karnataka, serves as the setting for the story "Kantara."
He claimed that what the audience actually saw was "Part 2," with "Part 1" still slated for publication early the following year. Because there is still more to learn about Kantara's past, Rishab continued, the concept for the movie first into his head when "Kantara" was being filmed.

The director stated that they are now in the middle of learning additional information. Because the research is still in its early stages, he claimed that it is too soon to reveal the highlights of the next movie.

"What you've seen is actually Part 2, and Part 1 will be released the following year. The thought came to me while I was filming "Kantara" since Kantara's history is more complex than most and if the writing is any indication, it will soon be published.
Both the public and critics were pleased with Kantara when it was released last year. Rishab Shetty, who also wrote and directed the film, received appreciation for its stunning visuals, which perfectly portrayed the folklore of coastal Karnataka. Rishab received plaudits for his outstanding performance in Kantara, in which he also had the lead role.
