'Kesari' fame Surmeet Basra to mark his Pollywood debut with 'Youth festival 2022'

Surmeet Basra Pollywood debut: Punjabi actor Surmeet Basra received huge appreciation for his character Gurmukh Singh in Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Kesari'. Gurmukh Singh, the last surviving defender of the 21 Sikh soldiers at the Saragarhi Fort, said to have chanted "Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal" while he was dying. This was the history and actor Surmeet Basra gave a glimpse of the historic scene and goosebumps to the audience who watched the film 'Kesari'.

Gurmukh Singh was also referred to as 'The Burning Sikh' for his bravery and those who didn't watch the historic scene for real got a chilling wave within after seeing Surmeet Basra playing the role.

He garnered huge love and appreciation from the film fraternity for his role in Akshay Kumar-starrer Kesari'. The brewing actor is now set to make his Pollywood debut with his upcoming Punjabi film 'Youth Festival 2022'. In the upcoming Punjabi film, Surmeet is going to do a soft role after playing an intense one in 'Kesari'.

'Youth Festival 2022' movie cast

The film features Sumeet Basra as the lead in addition to other spectacular stellar stars namely- Ashish Duggal, Mahabir Bhullar, and Nirmal Rishi.

The music composition of the film is done by Gurmeet Singh and it includes outstanding vocalist Kamal Khan.

Meanwhile, the film Youth Festival 2022' is written and helmed by Daljinder Basran.
