Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: Makers of Vidyut Jammwal-starrer apologizes for hurting religious sentiments

Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: Vidyut Jammwal's action packed film 'Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 is all set for its theatrical release on July 8. However, recently the film received criticism for hurting religious sentiments in one of the songs titled, 'Haq Hussain' which was released recently.

The use of the word Hussain in the song has been criticised by the Shia community, and other people have also expressed displeasure with some scenes.

The creators of "Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 - Agni Pariksha" have apologised to the Shia community for any offence that the song "Haq Hussain" may have caused to their religious feelings.

The issued statement reads as, “We the makers of Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha take cognizance of the concerns expressed by a few people of the Shia community and sincerely apologise for the fact that elements of the song ‘Haq Hussain’ have unintentionally hurt their sentiments. Objections were raised by a few people of the community for the word ‘Hussain’ and the use of zanjeer.”

Further the statement read as, “We have unilaterally decided to make changes to the song. In consultation with the Censor Board, we have removed zanjeer blades from the song and we’ve changed the lyrics of the song ‘Haq Hussain’ to ‘Junoon Hai.'”

Additionally, the creators claimed that no member of the Shia community was denigrated or seen harming anyone in the video.

Concluding the statement it was stated by the makers, “The song was created with the most pious intent to celebrate the glory of Imam Hussain and the intention was never to hurt religious sentiments. Nonetheless, voluntarily, keeping the sentiments of the Shia sect in mind, we have made the aforementioned changes.”

The film is written and directed by Faruk Kabir whereas it is presented by Panorama Studios and Action Hero Films and will be released in theaters on July 8.
