Baisakhi is the most anticipated festival of the Sikh religion. People are seen celebrating the festivity with utmost joy and enthusiasm. The celebration is yet approaching in the 2023 too. Baisakhi will be celebrated on April 14, 2023 throughout the country. Also known as 'Vaisakhi' or 'Basoa', the celebration marks the onset of the spring harvest season, that mostly falls on 13 or 14 April of every running year.

This year the festival will be celebrated on April 14 all over the country while according to 'Drik Prachang' the sankranti moment is believe to occur at 03:12 P.M on the respective day. 

Importance

Baisakhi is predominantly celebrated in the Northern part of the country with a significance value surfing religiously that also covers the harvesting importance. Religiously, this day signifies the establishment of 'Khalsa'(The pure one) which was led by the tenth and the last Guru of the Sikh community, Guru Gobind Singh. According to the belief, on Vaisakh day, the system of 'class' was abolished which eventually gave the existence of equality among Sikhism that led 'Guru Granth Sahib' to be the Holy book of the religion.

Celebration

The festival is celebrated on the Punjabi New year that sets off a year for a new beginning. The day is marked in different ways in various parts of the country as well as in the Gurudwaras located all over the world that remembers the contribution of the tenth Guru to the Sikh community. Along with commemorating Guru Gobind Singh, the community also offers prayer in honor of the rabi crop harvest.
