Manoj Muntashir reacts to the 'Teri Mitti' plagiarism allegation, says 'will quit writing' if the song is copied

Allegations abound on social media that lyricist Manoj Muntashir plagiarized the song 'Teri Mitti' from Akshay Kumar's film Kesari from a Pakistani folk song. Previously this year, a video of a folk singer singing a melodious rendition of the song went viral on the internet. According to reports, the singer is Baloch from Pakistan. There are now allegations that Manoj plagiarized the song from a Pakistani song released in 2005.

Manoj says, "For your information, let me tell you that the singer is also not Pakistani but from our country. Her name is Geeta Rabari. You can ask them too. I know Geeta personally. He has always praised my work. Manoj said that if it is proved that the song Teri Mitti is a copy of any song, then I will stop writing it forever."
