Gurwinder Singh (19), Lovepreet Singh (20), Daljeet Singh (35), and Nachatar Singh (60) have been identified as the four farmers who died in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.

Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court requesting that the Ministry of Home Affairs and police register a FIR and "punish the ministers" who are reason of this mishap.

Union minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish, according to the protesting farmers, was in one of the vehicles that ran over the protesters. Furthermore, many disturbing videos of this incident have been widely disseminated on social media.
