Miss Universe 2021,Harnaaz Sandhu wishes to break stereotypes in Bollywood as well as Hollywood

Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021 made the whole nation proud by winning the crown and getting it home after 21 years. Post winning the crown, interviews, and celebration for the Miss Universe have started, where she also expressed her views on winning the title. She said the moment calls for a big celebration for the whole country as after 21 years India got the chance to wear the crown.

She said, “I feel so grateful and my heart is filled with so much respect for all those who have shown their faith in me and showered me with all their love. I want to use this platform to talk about the issues which we should all be concerned about.” 

During the interview, Harnaaz also made the revelation that her mother Ravinder Kaur Sandhu is an inspiration, who is a gynecologist by profession. Her mother has been moving towards women empowerment along with focusing on breast cancer awareness and menstrual hygiene.

In the past, the former Miss Worlds and Miss Universe including Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra made their way to Bollywood after winning the crown. Similarly the Miss Universe 2021 has the same thought as she wishes to not just be a part of Bollywood but also Hollywood.

Talking about Bollywood Harnaaz said, “I’d love to be a part of not just Bollywood but Hollywood too, through that I’d love to break the stereotypes. I think 21st-century people get inspired by movies and web series, so I’d like to inspire people and try to talk about the issues that should be eradicated from society”. 

The final round of questioning made Harnaaz win the crown beating Miss South Africa and Miss Paraguay. The finalist was asked, "What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?"

Harnaaz in her answer said that women of today face the pressure of not believing in themselves and constantly putting their uniqueness in question. She said that every woman is the ruler of her life and should believe in themselves and the beauty that lies within them. She continued saying that she believed in herself which is why she is standing there.

The amount of confidence and intelligence she had while answering this question made her win the crown of Miss Universe 2021.
