Mumbai NCB files 200-page charge sheet against Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa

Bharti Singh drug case: The Mumbai NCB submitted a 200-page charge sheet to the court against comedians Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya. They were arrested in relation to a narcotics case in 2020.

In late 2020, the couple was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on suspicion of possessing a tiny amount of marijuana and consuming drugs, which shocked the entertainment industry. After a raid at their Andheri West home and workplace resulted in the seizure of 86.50 gms of marijuana, they were detained. Bail was set at Rs. 15,000 for each of them.

Numerous prominent celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, and Sara Ali Khan, were questioned by NCB in the narcotics case. In this series, the NCB carried out a raid on Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiya's home and workplace in November 2020. During this time, marijuana was found in his home. The pair was then detained by NCB.

Both Harsh Limbachiya and Bharti Singh were presented by NCB in court and eventually taken into custody by the court. In the meantime, the couple was granted bail after providing a security deposit of Rs. 15,000.  The NCB, however, had claimed in court that the bail was approved without the prosecution being addressed.
