Nation celebrates 400th Parkash Purab of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

The whole nation is celebrating the auspicious occasion of the 400th Parkash Purab of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on Thursday.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is the personification of supreme sacrifice, courage, universal brotherhood, equality, and righteousness. The entire nation is paying respect to the 'Hind Di Chadar'.

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal took to Twitter and wrote: "Congratulations to all the Sadh Sangat on the birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The Ninth Patshah Ji set a unique example of religious freedom and human unity to the whole world, including the Sikh community, and is revered by the whole world as 'Hind Di Chadar'."

Likewise, former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal tweeted: "Congratulations to all the Sadh Sangat on the birth anniversary of Ninth Patshah, 'Hind Di Chadar' Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Let us learn from the life of Guru Sahib, and unite for the spread of interfaith respect and equality in the society."

Meanwhile, the Government of India has organised mega celebrations of the 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Red Fort in New Delhi on Thursday at around 9:15 PM. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be participating and will address the gathering. He will also release a commemorative coin and postage stamp on the occasion.

There will also be a grand light and sound show depicting the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Apart from this, the traditional martial art of Sikhs 'Gatka' will also be organized.
