On being asked about how he got into acting, Udit Arora said, "I did my first play in Delhi when I was 19 years old. I was highly inspired by my father. Although he was in the service, he used to do theatre a lot. So, I used to watch him and I was always fascinated by theatre, and always wanted to try and give it a hand."

"My journey started in Delhi when I did my first play in college. Later, I moved to Mumbai and learned the basics of acting. I learned a lot from KK Raina Sir. Then, I started doing commercials and then I entered films," he added.

He was further asked about the difference between OTT and mainstream cinema. To this, he said, "there is a huge difference between the mainstream cinema and OTT platforms. The major difference was that the OTT was majorly driven by content while the mainstream cinema has a commercial value based on how people react to it and it also depends on the box office collection."

"OTT, on the other hand, is totally content driven and you can also take a risk in that as there is not much to lose," he added. Furthermore, he said that "OTT is a boon for actors like us who haven’t been discovered as of yet because opportunities have increased for artists like us."

"This is the greatest aspect of OTT platforms and it has given us a platform to showcase our talent. With films being limited a few years ago, the ratio or probability of you being a part of the film was quite low. But with OTT, it’s different now," said 'Jamtara' actor Udit Arora in an exclusive interview with PTC Punjabi.
