Indian period drama 'Taj: Divided by blood' premiers today; All you need to know about the new OTT release on Zee5
The new Indian period drama series 'Taj: Divided by Blood', is premiered today on OTT platform Zee5. The show is based on the classic Mughal empire. The huge ensemble of cast in the television series includes veteran actors like Dharmendra, Naseeruddin Shah and Zarina Wahab along with other leads such as Aditi Rao Haydari, Rahul Bose, Sandhya Mridul, Ashim Gulati and the list is ever-continuing.
The storyline is based on 16th century Akbar's Mughal empire followed by succession of wars. Produced by Abhimanyu Singh and Rupali Singh, the series is full of action, poetic beauty, romance, Mughal political conflicts and hell lot of bloodshed wars. The show highlights the beauty as well the harsh brutality of the classic Muslim Dynasty. People were waiting with hunger to hit their eyes on the twisted dramatic tale to come on the OTT screen and it is finally up on the platform. The first season of the series has 10 long episodes and within no time of it's release, it scored 9.2/10 on IMDb.

The entertainment industry has always tried to portray the Mughal empire through the intriguing stories. Previously, Ashutosh Gowariker has made the iconic movie, 'Jodhaa Akbar' in 2008 starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai and it was a blockbuster hit among the masses followed by ZeeTV's original daily soap that won tremendous love from the audience. 'Taj-Divided By Blood' is available in four languages on the platform, Hindi, Tamil, Telegu and Urdu respectively. The classic period drama is expected to garner more love on the upcoming days.
