'The Witcher' Season 3 release date; Superhit Netflix series is all set to comeback on OTT platform

Release Date - The superhit Netflix series, Witcher is making it's third debut on the OTT platform. Reportedly the third season will be released in two parts among which the first volume is going to get release on June 29, 2023. Netflix has officially released an intriguing trailer of volume 1 on June 27, 2023 which has made fans go gaga already asking it more asap.

About season 3

The upcoming sequel will be followed up by some trivial adventures of Geralt, Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Princess Ciri. According to the sources, it's third season is inspired by the Witcher novel series, 'Time of Content' by Andrzej Sapkowski. The show will revolve around princess Ciri as even in previous seasons she was targetted by numerous continents for getting utterly powerful and stronger.

The season 3 storyline

The official synopsis reads, “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever."

Star casts

However, the season will be last for Henry Cavill as the character Geralt and according to sources Chris Hemsworth will take over his lead role. Apart from Henry Cavill, the show will feature Anya Chalotra(Yennefer), Freya Allen(Ciri of Cintra), Joey Batey(Jaskier), MyAnna Buring(Tissaia), Anna Shaffer(Triss Merigold), Royce Pierreson(Istredd).
