Pallavi Dey’s live-in partner arrested in connection with her death case

Pallavi Dey’s death was actually murder? Well, the police is looking into the matter. In the meanwhile, the Bengali TV actress Pallavi Dey's live-in partner Sagnik Chakroborty has been arrested on Tuesday in connection with the actor's death case.

Pallavi Dey’s death left her fans in shock. She was found dead at her flat in Kolkata on May 15.

Sagnik Chakroborty was arrested by the Garfa Police after interrogating him for a long time. Pallavi Dey’s family members had filed a complaint against Sagnik Chakroborty, accusing him of murder.

Pallavi Dey was living in a rented flat with Chakroborty in Kolkata for over one month. On May 15, the actress’ body was found hanging from a ceiling fan and Chakroborty was the first person who informed the police about the death.

Although no suicide note was found near the body, the initial autopsy suggested a case of suicide and that there were no external injuries.

However, police initially started an investigation by filing a case of unnatural death and later converted it into a murder case following allegations leveled by Dey's parents.

Bengali TV actress was known prominently for her roles in ‘Mon Mane Na’ as ‘Gauri’. Also, she had worked in several other shows that included Resham Japi, Saraswati Prem, and Ami Sirajer Begum.
