Priyanka Chopra, a global star, strongly believes in the strength of women. Priyanka travelled to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday to view the initiatives being taken by UNICEF and its supporters to reduce violence and discrimination against girls nationwide. She shared a video of herself from inside a vehicle after seeing multiple UNICEF sites. In the video, she claimed that women and girls are essential to creating better futures for both themselves and their communities.
“I'm currently travelling with UNICEF to Lucknow, India. This field trip is something I am eagerly anticipating. In Lucknow, where I have relatives and friends, I attended school for a portion of my formative years. And I'm curious to know how women and children's rights have changed in the state of Uttar Pradesh. I wish to witness firsthand the (bigger) scale transformation that technology and innovation are bringing about. Girls are the ones who are most disadvantaged in India because of gender inequality, which leads to uneven chances” Priyanka said.
She added, " As part of our efforts to prevent violence and discrimination against girls, we are visiting a number of UNICEF partners. I'll learn about the difficulties they encounter on a daily basis and observe the available answers because we require solutions that can be implemented widely. Women and girls are crucial to constructing better futures for not only themselves but also for their communities, as I have stated countless times."
Additionally, Priyanka uploaded a number of pictures and a video of her touring various UNICEF facilities. She met young boys and girls when she went to Aurangabad in Lucknow.
