Popularly known as Pran, his full name is Pran Krishan Sikand. More than the role of a hero, he played the role of a villain.

In a long and prolific career, he did more than 350 movies. He has a six decade career in Bollywood and is one of the most celebrated actors of the industry.

He was awarded with Filmfare lifetime achievement award in 1997 and was awarded as Villian of the millennium in 2000 by stardust.

The actor was honoured with Padma Bhushan in 2001, and Dadasaheb Phalke Award, by the government of India in 2013.

Pran suffered a heart attack at the age of 78, after which he started rejecting movies due to his health problems.
