R Madhavan reacts to 'fake reports' of losing house for making debut film 'Rocketry'

Amid reports of R Madhavan losing his house after the box office failure of his directorial debut film 'Rocketry The Nambi Effect', the actor took to his social media and issued a clarification.

In the film, the actor essayed the character of an aerospace engineer and former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist Nambi Narayanan. The biopic film was released at the box office on July 1 with its OTT release followed on July 26.

The film faced a slow start at the box office but sustained decent numbers as the days progressed, justifying the reasonable budget of the film.

Madhavan better known as Maddy got his fans tensed with one of his statements during an interview.

As per the reports, the fans thought that the actor had to give up his house for his most ambitious project while the actor had then said that to fund this project, he had to work on other projects.

Also, it further stated that the actor had promised his wife a house of his own, post the release of his directorial debut Rocketry.

Amid speculations, Maddy took to Twitter and mentioned that he was currently living in his own house while the film continued to make profits.

About his film and the house, he tweeted, “Oh Yaar. Pls don’t over patronize my sacrifice. I did not lose my house or anything. In fact all involved in Rocketry will be very proudly paying heavy Income Tax this year. Gods grace ????", He added, "We all made very good and proud profits. I still love and live in my house .?❤️"

Talking about the actor’s upcoming project, the actor-director will be seen in the film 'Dhokha Round D Corner' and 'Amriki Pandit'.
