Rakesh Jhunjhunwala death: Anil Kapoor pens heartfelt note for his dear friend

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's death: People from many diverse backgrounds were shocked by the death of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala who was known as the "big bull" of the Indian stock market. The experienced stock market trader passed away on Sunday at the age of 62 in Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital.

Jhunjhunwala reportedly fell ill a few days ago. Reportedly, he suffered a cardiac arrest that led to his death.

Anil Kapoor, a seasoned actor, shared a picture of Jhunjhunwala conversing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter. Anil mentioned in his message about his close friend, “Rakesh Jhunjhunwalla was a dear friend, always been a well wisher of my family…specially my daughters Sonam and Rhea .. a visionary and a true Indian patriot .. loved films and music .. we will miss him dearly.”

Who was Rakesh Jhunjhunwala?

Jhunjhunwala was very strongly aligned with the Bollywood industry. He worked on the 2012 movie English-Vinglish, which featured Sridevi. He produced two additional movies, 'Shamitabh' and 'Ki & Ka', following the commercial success of 'English-Vinglish'.

The renowned investor was raised in Bombay where his father served as an Income Tax commissioner. He submitted an application to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India after finishing his education at Sydenham College. He made his first investment of Rs 5,000 in 1985. By 2018, this investment increased to Rs. 11,000 crore.

At 5:30 pm, Mumbai's Banganga crematorium conducted Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's final rituals.
