Ranbir Kapoor confirm about uncle Randhir Kapoor; suffering from Dementia

Rishi Kapoor, the renowned actor, passed away about two years ago. Rishi Kapoor died while filming 'Sharmaji Namkeen.' Actor Paresh Rawal stepped into his shoes to finish the film. In an interview recently, Ranbir Kapoor urged his followers to watch his father's final film and disclosed his family's reaction to it.

Apart from this, Ranbir Kapoor also revealed that his uncle and veteran actor Randhir Kapoor is suffering from dementia.

"My uncle Randhir Kapoor, who is going through an early stage of dementia, came to me after the film and said, 'Tell dad that he is amazing, and where is he, let's call him. Art crosses the boundaries of medical conditions... And a good piece of storytelling really embodies that," Ranbir stated.

Ranbir Kapoor, 75, recently saw "Sharmaji Namkeen," his younger brother Rishi Kapoor's final cinematic appearance. Rishi died in April 2020 at the age of 67, after a two-year struggle with leukemia.

Randhir Kapoor is the eldest son of Raj Kapoor, the iconic actor, and filmmaker. Within a year, he lost both of his younger brothers, Rishi Kapoor (67) and Rajiv Kapoor (58). Rishi Kapoor died two years ago on April 30th, after a two-year struggle with cancer, and Rajiv Kapoor died in February of last year after a heart attack.

In the video, Ranbir also said that the producers considered casting him in the film to finish the shot. “We thought of trying VFX or I could wear prosthetics and complete the role but nothing was working out. It was a tough time for all of us,” he had said.
