Ranbir Kapoor opens up on 'failure' of 'Shamshera', says 'content wasn't good'
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who made his comeback to the silver screen after a hiatus of four years with 'Shamshera', is currently promoting his upcoming film 'Brahmastra'. 'Shamshera' turned out to be a flop at the box office but Ranbir believes that the 'boycott trend' has nothing to do with it.
'Shamshera' received negative reviews and turned out to be a disaster at the box office as it collected only Rs. 42.48 crore. In the meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is set for the release of 'Brahmastra' which is said to be the biggest-ever VFX film in India.

It features Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. The film’s trailer, songs, and promos have been creating great hype.
As per the advance booking reports, the film is going to witness a bumper opening at the box office. Promoting the same, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Ayan Mukerji visited Delhi.

During the press conference, Ranbir was asked about the failure of 'Shamshera'. To this, he said that if the film didn’t work it means the audience didn’t like it.

He added that the film didn't work because the content wasn't good. While many actors don't openly speak about the film’s failure, Ranbir Kapoor was clear that 'Shamshera' was a disaster at the box office and thus, he owns its failure.
