However, the singer and fashion enthusiast did not attend the Met Gala 2022, the year's most important fashion event. But, The Metropolitan Museum of Art made a marble statue at Met Gala 2022 to honour her.

Yes, in a historic moment, The Metropolitan Museum of Art paid homage to the soon-to-be-mommy by displaying her statue. Rihanna, who will not be attending the Met Gala in 2022, responded on Twitter to the Met Museum's special homage.

The singer thanked the museum for giving her a historic tribute on Twitter. She also tweeted a photo of herself with the statue, showing off her pregnant belly.

"shut down the met in marble! what’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one!" wrote Rihanna in response to the special tribute.

The statue was created for a Vogue magazine cover shot.

Last year, the singer, actor, fashion designer, and beauty queen graced the Met Gala red carpet with beau ASAP Rocky and looked stunning. The couple's signature blanket cape ensemble, which went viral on the internet, was a hit with fans.

Met Gala 2022 held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and attendees included Elon Musk, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Natasha Poonawalla, among others.

The event originally took place in 1948, and for a long time, it was only open to New York's social elite.
