Rocketry box office collection: R Madhavan's scientific biopic mints Rs 8 crore within 3 days

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect box office collection: The box office performance of Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was slow to begin with, but it improved during the weekend. In India, Rocketry has already made over Rs 8 crore in three days and is seems to gain traction in the upcoming week. The movie is based on the biography of Nambi Narayanan, an ISRO scientist who was wrongfully accused of espionage. On July 1, the movie was released in theaters.

On July 1, The Nambi Effect was released in theatres. Day 1 earnings for the Madhavan-starring film weren't particularly strong. On the other hand, Rocketry had a great weekend.

Rocketry's box office performance has reportedly improved recently. The film was able to gain in about Rs 3 crore on Saturday, July 2. On Sunday, however, it is expected to have brought in Rs 3.70 crore, bringing the three-day total to Rs 8.40 crore.

Who is Nambi Narayanan?

Nambi Narayanan is an Indian aerospace engineer who worked at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Born on born December 12, 1941, Nambi was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2019. He was known to develop the Vikas engine that would be used for the first PSLV that India launched. In ISRO, he was the in-charge of the cryogenics division.

A biopic based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan is named "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect." Madhavan has produced and written the script for Rocketry in addition to directing and acting in it. The movie also includes Simran, Ravi Raghavendra, and Misha Ghoshal, among others. Madhavan spent many years working on the movie, which is his passion project.
