The release of Shahid Kapoor's film Jersey has been postponed after the Delhi government ordered the closure of cinema halls, spas, and gyms on Tuesday to combat the spike of COVID-19 cases. However, despite the health risk, the producers of another upcoming picture, 'RRR,' have agreed to keep the release date.
'RRR' stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan, and is directed by SS Rajamouli.
Film Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed that the release date of the much-awaited film RRR will be the same and it will be released on January 7, 2022.
'RRR,' a fictitious take on the younger days of legendary freedom warriors Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju, represented by Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, is set in pre-independence India.
The original release date for 'RRR' was set for July 30, 2020. However, the makers were compelled to push the release date due to unforeseen delays.
The film's promotional campaign is currently ongoing. Rajamouli, Ram, Jr NTR, and Alia recently appeared on Bigg Boss 15 Weekend Ka Vaar to promote the film RRR. In a forthcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, the team will also be featured.
However, the film will undoubtedly face numerous challenges; Omicron cases are on the rise, late evening and night outings in a few places have been canceled due to the night curfews, and theatres in Delhi have already closed.
RRR is a Telugu film that will be dubbed and distributed in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
