Rubina Dilaik pens a message for 'PSEUDO FANS' who mocks her for gaining weight

Rubina Dilaik, the Bigg Boss 14 winner and popular television actress, is a fitness freak, which was evident during her time on the reality show. However, in May of this year, the actress became infected with the novel coronavirus. Rubina gained weight after her recovery, and as a result, she is now receiving hate mail/messages.

She responded to trolls making fun of her weight gain in a strongly worded statement she shared on her Twitter handle, saying, "Dear well wishers/ PSEUDO FANS , I am observing that my weight gain is bothering you! You are relentlessly sending hate mails and messages , you don’t see my worth if I don’t hire a PR or if I don’t tip paps for spotting … you are threatening to leave fandoms coz I am fat now , I don’t wear good (designer) clothes and I am not working hard to get BIG projects."

The actress expressed her dissatisfaction with the fact that her physical appearance is valued far more than her talent and dedication to her job.

Rubina wrote a note in which she stated that this is her life and one of its phases. She asked that they not refer to themselves as her fans if they only admire her physical appearance. Rubina isn't the only one who is being chastised for her size.

However, this is not the first time that an actress is being trolled for gaining weight. There are more Bollywood and television actresses who are subjected to body-shaming trolls.

Kareena walked the runway at New York Fashion Week a few weeks ago. During and after her second pregnancy, she was brutally trolled for gaining weight.

Hina Khan had written a heartwarming note a few weeks ago. She acknowledged that she had gained weight. However, the actress valued her mental health over her physical appearance. She also advocated for positive vibes and the elimination of fat-shaming.

In May of this year, Rubina Dilaik tested positive for COVID-19. The actress informed her fans about her health, and she was quarantined at her parent's home in Shimla.

She returned to work after fully recovering and has appeared in a few music videos. Her most recent single, 'Shah Rukh Khan,' was also released.
