Russia-Ukraine war: Angelina Jolie visits Ukrainian city, meets kids at hospital
Amid the Russia-Ukraine war, the Hollywood actor and UN humanitarian Angelina Jolie visited the Ukrainian city of Lviv on Saturday. As per Maksym Kozytskyy, the Governor of Lviv Regional State Administration, Jolie arrived in the city to speak with people who were found refuge in the city.
Notably, Angelina Jolie has been a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Special Envoy since 2011.
“For all of us, this visit has been a surprise," said Lviv regional governor Maxim Kozytski. Several pictures from Angelina Jolie’s Ukraine visit surfaced on social media.

In one of the photos, she can be seen interacting with refugees, at the Lviv railway station, displaced by the Russia-Ukraine war.
She also visited a hospital where she met with kids wounded in the Kramatorsk railway attack in Lviv, Ukraine.

Meanwhile, a video was posted by a Facebook user in which Jolie can be seen dressed in a grey sweatshirt and trousers as she visited a coffee shop. She also signed autographs for fans and waved at other customers in the cafe.

A Twitter user named Maria Mokhova, tweeted: "Nothing special, just Angelina Jolie in Lviv coffee shop. Admirable indeed and speaks of her true values more than any IG post and “sending thoughts and prayers”. Act! Do something! Words are not enough."
