Saif Ali Khan quotes the 'Hum Tum' kiss scene with Rani Mukherji as the 'Worst Kiss'
Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji joked about their awkward kiss in the film Hum Tum, and how Rani tried to avoid it.
Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji reflected on their nearly two-decade professional relationship, laughing at how 'uncomfortable' they were during the kissing scene in Hum Tum. In a new video published on the official YRF YouTube account to promote the actors' upcoming film, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Saif stated, "It was the worst kiss in the history of cinema."
"Shoot you remember how frightened we were to do the kissing shot?" Rani remarked while they were talking about their first project together. "I remember how nervous you were to do the kissing shot," Saif answered. "So, I arrived on set, and you were being particularly kind to me that day, and you were saying, 'How are you?'" he added. "What was your impression of the journey? 'What's going on?'
Rani then gently urged Saif to inform people that he didn't want to kiss her, according to Saif. "I said, 'I can't say that!'" Saif said as Rani chuckled. 'I had to do that because my director told me to.' Rani paused for a moment more before eventually consenting. During the shoot, Saif imitated Rani's grimace while she laughed. She concurred, "It was quite uncomfortable."
Even Saif was startled when he earned a National Award for his performance in Hum Tum. He has indicated in prior interviews that he hopes to earn the honor by giving better performances throughout his career.
