Salman Khan's plea for an interim order against his Panvel Farmhouse neighbor denied by Court

Salman Khan, who has claimed his neighbor for defamation, was denied an interim restraining order by the Mumbai City Civil Court on Friday. Salman claimed in a YouTube clip that Ketan Kakkad, the owner of land near his Panvel farmhouse, badmouthed him.

Judge Anil H Laddad gave Ketan Kakkad till January 21 to file his reply and set the case's next hearing on January 21. Salman's lawyers asked the court to issue an injunction prohibiting Ketan Kakkar from making any additional statements while the case was still pending, but Ketan's lawyers, Abha Singh and Aditya Pratap objected.

Lawyer Abha Singh also stated that there was no need for haste and that since Salman Khan waited a month to bring the claim, Ketan should be given some time to respond. Judge Laddad then called a halt to the proceedings.
