Sam Bombay, Poonam Pandey's husband, arrested after the actress accuses him of assault

The Mumbai Police have arrested Poonam Pandey's husband, model and actor Sam Bombay (Sam Ahmed), after she accused him of physical assault. ANI reported that Pandey's husband was arrested in Mumbai on Monday after the actress filed a complaint against him at the Bandra Police Station.

Poonam has been admitted to a city hospital after suffering injuries to her face and hand, according to reports.

"The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face," the Mumbai police said.

An investigation into the matter is currently underway.

Poonam had previously filed a complaint against Sam for assault and molesting her in September 2020. The lawsuit was filed in Goa, where the couple had gone on their honeymoon after marrying earlier that month. Pandey then claimed that her husband had sexually abused, threatened, and assaulted her. Sam was arrested at the time, but was released the next day on conditional bail. Poonam Pandey had also stated that she would be ending her marriage with her husband, but the couple quickly reconciled.

Bombay had been apprehended by the cops. After 24 hours, he was granted conditional bail. Pandey had stated at the time that she was ending her marriage to him. The couple's disagreements, however, had been settled.
