Senior Journalist Vinod Dua bids goodbye to the world, daughter Mallika confirms
Vinod Dua was one of the big names of the journalism industry who have been associated with NDTV and Doordarshan for the longest time. He said goodbye to the world on 4th December which left the world of media in utter shock.
The news of his death was confirmed by late journalists daughter Mallika Dua through a post on Instagram handle. She wrote, “Our irreverent, fearless and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away. He lived an inimitable life, rising from the refugee colonies of Delhi to the peak of journalistic excellence for over 42 years, always, always speaking truth to power. He is now with our mom, his beloved wife Chinna in heaven where they will continue to sing, cook, travel and drive each other up the wall. The cremation will take place tomorrow (5.12.21) at Lodhi crematorium at 12 noon.”

At the age of 67, he bid goodbye to the world on Saturday. Vinod Dua was detected with Covid earlier this year for which he was hospitalized as well. During that time his wife the former radiologist Padmavati ‘Chinna Dua’ lost her battle with the virus.

Ever since then, the journalist suffered a lot due to his health and has been at the hospital on and off. This Monday only due to the complications, he was shifted to the ICU of the Apollo Hospital.

When Mallika Dua’s mother passed away she wrote on the Instagram handle, “Mama would not have given up on him or watch him give up on himself. She will guide us to do what’s best for him. My sister and I are okay. We were raised by the strongest.”
Journalist Vinod Dua is followed by two daughters eldest Bakul Dua and the younger being Mallika Dua.
