'Shabaash Mithu' teaser out: Taapsee Pannu portrays Mithali Raj who created 'herstory'

'Shabaash Mithu' cast and release date: The teaser of the much-awaited film 'Shabaash Mithu' is finally out and Taapsee Pannu as Mithali Raj is depicting the magical moments of Indian women cricket on the screen.

Taapsee Pannu as Mithali Raj in 'Shabaash Mithu' will highlight the story of the successful captain of India's women's team.

The film will show the women’s cricket team’s achievements, the highs and lows in Mithali Raj’s life. The teaser of 'Shabaash Mithu' was shared by Taapsee Pannu on her Instagram handle.

Besides Tapsee, the cast of 'Shabaash Mithu' includes Vijay Raaz who will be seen in a key role. The film is helmed by noted Bengali filmmaker Srijit Mukherji.

Shabaash Mithu's initial release date was February 4, 2022. Now, it is likely to hit theatres in April. Last year, Taapsee had shared a photo after completing the shoot for the film. She had written, “I was 8 when someone made me dream that one day, cricket won’t be just a gentleman’s game. Even we will have our team and identity. ‘Women in Blue’. We are coming soon. #ShabaashMithu It’s a film wrap! Get ready to cheer for the World Cup 2022! #WomenInBlue.”
