Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor's brother Siddhanth Kapoor was released on bail after he was arrested for alleged drug abuse. Likewise, the other four people, who were arrested, have also been released on bail, said the police.
However, Siddhanth Kapoor and the four others will have to appear before the police as and when called. Siddhanth was taken into custody on Monday for allegedly consuming drugs at a rave party in Bengaluru on Sunday night.
Bheema Shankar Gulled, Deputy Commissioner of Police for East Bengaluru, said that Siddhanth Kapoor's medical examination showed he had consumed drugs.
The police had received a tip-off after which the police raided a hotel on MG Road in the city on Sunday night.
The team of cops raided the hotel and detained over 35 people. The police said that they will investigate CCTV to check who disposed of the MDMA and ganja.
Meanwhile, the samples of people, suspected of consuming drugs, were sent for medical tests. Siddhanth's sample turned out to be positive. The police had also said that it was not clear whether they had consumed drugs at the hotel or before coming to the party.
Reacting to the development, Siddhanth Kapoor's father Shakti Kapoor had said, "It wasn't possible".
