Shamshera box office collection: Several shows 'cancelled' as Ranbir Kapoor-starrer action drama sees lower opening
Shamshera day 1 box office collection: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor came up with the first film in four years, but the big-budget film 'Shamshera' failed to make a big opening at the box office.
As per the report on Shamshera movie's day 1 box office collection, the film opened to over Rs 10 crore on the first day of release.

Reportedly, the film has been made under a budget of Rs 150 crore. Shamshera actually opened to a lower number than the Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Samrat Prithviraj' which bagged Rs 10.7 crore on its opening day.
As per Box Office India, the film failed to perform well in Mumbai. The film was touted to be the second widest release of the post-pandemic era and was being played in over 4000 theatres. However, the occupancy on day one was very low.

Besides, the film has been receiving less-than-positive reviews for the film and it might make it more difficult for the film to finish with a good total.
Film trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted “Dull Shamshera opening plunges the already nervous Hindi film trade into a further state of panic! Unfortunately, collections of the big film are small!”

“Another big film… but the same story continues! Shows of Shamshera in the morning and noon/afternoon at some cinemas cancelled due to absence of an audience,” he added.
