Shang Chi star Simu Liu performs Bhangra, sings Punjabi song ‘Jalebi Baby’ at Juno Awards 2022 [Watch Video]

Shang Chi star Simu Liu and Canadian singer Tesher performed Bhangra together to the beats of the former's hit single ‘Jalebi Baby’ at the Juno Awards 2022 in Toronto.

The Indian origin singer Tesher, originally named Hitesh Sharma, performed at the Juno Awards 2022. He was joined by the host Simu as they both went on to sing and groove together. Shang Chi star Simu Liu even gave Tesher a shoutout.

He said, "Now that's how we celebrate Asian heritage." Tesher shared a video on his Instagram and wrote, “Me and @simuliu brought bhangra to the MCU baby!!! Shoutout to the @thejunoawards awards for letting me perform and showcase South Asian culture on the biggest music stage in Canada. I'm still shook!!! also NEW MUSIC NEXT MONTH BABYYYY. Tesher mixes Bollywood with hip-hop songs. He has delivered several remixes of Hindi and English tracks. Meanwhile, Simu Liu is known for playing Shang-Chi in the 2021 Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Notably, Simu is the first Asian superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Among the winners at Juno Awards were The Weeknd, Charlotte Cardin and Shawn Mendes.

Shawn was felicitated with the International Achievement Award. He also won the TikTok Juno fan choice award.

On the other hand, Charlotte won the artist of the year, single of the year and pop album of the year.
