Harkamal Ranu's family claimed that they had handed him over to the police. The police said that Harkamal Ranu was one of the eight assailants who intercepted Sidhu Moose Wala's car and shot him.

Meanwhile, a Red Corner Notice (RCN) has been issued against gangster Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar. He is wanted in Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case.
On June 2, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) requested Interpol to issue a Red Corner Notice against Goldy Brar.
"The RCN has been issued. The CBI liaison officer will coordinate with Interpol and a proposal will be moved through the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for extradition," a senior CBI official said.
Goldy Brar is a native of Sri Muktsar Sahib. He had gone to Canada on a student visa in 2017. Sidhu Moose Wala, who left his house at around 4.30 pm. on May 29 along with Gurwinder Singh (neighbour) and Gurpreet Singh (cousin), was shot dead.
