Singer KK Cremation: Krishnakumar Kunnath's mortal remains consigned to flames

Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK Cremation: Bollywood playback singer and music composer Krishnakumar Kunnath, aka KK, was one of the most prominent singers in the Indian film industry. He made his Bollywood debut with the 'Tadap Tadap' song from 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and the song is still alive.

Likewise, singer Krishnakumar Kunnat aka KK gave several soulful hits like 'Zindagi Do Pal Ki', 'Pal', 'Aankhon Mein Teri', 'Khuda Jaane' and the list goes on.

KK had not only given his voice in Bollywood but also in several other industries. KK had lent his voice to Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati songs.

His untimely death on Tuesday night sent shock waves across the nation. Reportedly, he died after falling ill. His death came hours after he performed at a live concert in Kolkata. According to the initial post-mortem reports, KK died due of a cardiac arrest.

Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK's cremation took place on Thursday at Mumbai's Versova Hindu Cemetry. The funeral was attended by his family, friends, and several prominent personalities, including Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan, Papon, Salim Merchant, and others. His son Nakul performed the last rites.

The singer was performing at a concert in Kolkata on Tuesday evening when he complained of uneasiness after which he was taken to his hotel room. He reportedly collapsed after suffering a cardiac arrest and was taken to hospital where he was declared "brought dead".
