Sonu Nigam reveals why he agreed to sing for Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chadha

Sonu Nigam, one of Bollywood's most popular and successful vocalists, has kept a long distance from the industry. For a long period, Sonu Nigam has resided in Dubai with her family rather than Mumbai. In an interview, Sonu Nigam expressed her dissatisfaction with the way music directors work nowadays and stated that she does not want to be a part of production if she needs to audition.

Sonu stated that he did not want to be a part of a process where numerous singers record the same song and described this procedure as 'Swayamwar'. Sonu Nigam has just finished recording a song for Aamir Khan's next film "Laal Singh Chaddha".

The singer explained why he recorded the song for the film, stating that music director Pritam had guaranteed him that he would be the only one to record it. Aamir Khan personally had asked Sonu Nigam to record the song, according to Sonu Nigam. he further revealed that he and Pritam had a falling out when he was replaced by one song and had the song recorded by another vocalist.

Sonu has said that he does not want to beg for work from any producer or music director and that his followers should be proud of him stating, "Agar mere shubhchintak jo hain, unko pata chale ke Sonu Nigam toh bhikhaari hai, saamne raja ban ke ghoomta hai, par actually peeche bhikhaari hai"

Sonu Nigam began his career as a singer in the 1990s, as explained. Following that, he did playback singing for all of Bollywood's biggest stars. Sonu Nigam's albums, on the other hand, have been very well received. The Indian government has honored Sonu with the Padma Shri award.
