Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati passes away at 99 in Madhya Pradesh

Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati death: Dwarkapeeth Shankara Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati passed away at the age of 99 in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh.

In 1982, he was appointed as the Jyotir Math in Badrinath and the Dwarka Sharada Peetham's Shankaracharya.

As per the reports, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati died following a minor heart attack. He passed away on Sunday, September 11, at 3:50 in an ashram.

The news of Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati's death was a shocking one and people from across the country have been extending condolences to the departed soul.

Extending condolences to the departed soul, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: "Deeply saddened by the demise of Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Dwarka Sharda Peeth. My condolences to his followers in this time of grief. om Shanti!"

Arunachal Pradesh's Chief Minister tweeted: "Deeply pained over the demise of Dwarka peeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati ji. I convey my heartfelt condolences to millions of followers of the great seer. Om Shanti."
