In recent days, the realm of South Indian cinema has been shaken by the controversial remarks made by Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan regarding actress Trisha Krishnan. The controversy, which erupted like wildfire, has garnered widespread condemnation from various quarters, including influential figures such as Chiranjeevi, a distinguished South Indian superstar, and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The National Women's Commission has also stepped into the fray, escalating the matter further. Consequently, the Chennai Police has taken a decisive step by filing a case against Mansoor Ali Khan in response to the grave nature of his comments.

According to media reports, the official recording of the case took place on November 21, following a meticulous inquiry into Mansoor Ali Khan's controversial statements. The charges levied against the actor are rooted in sections 354A and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), highlighting the severity of the accusations.

The controversial remarks made by Mansoor Ali Khan surfaced in a widely circulated video, amplifying the public's disapproval. In the footage, Khan can be heard making inappropriate comments about Trisha Krishnan, revealing his anticipation of a romantic scene with her in an upcoming film. He also went on to disclose his involvement in explicit scenes in the past, expressing remorse for not having encountered Trisha on the set during the Kashmir shoot.

The legal proceedings that have been set into motion signify a concerted effort to address the gravity of the situation. The charges under IPC sections 354A and 509 suggest that the actor may face consequences for outraging the modesty of a woman and making gestures intended to insult her modesty.
