N Chandrababu Naidu's Swearing -In Ceremony

N Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP supremo, was officially elected as the Chief Minister for the fourth time. Notably, this marks his second term after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014. His initial tenure began in 1995, lasted until 2004. After the state’s division, Naidu returned as Chief Minister in 2014 and served until 2019.

The swearing-in ceremony garnered significant attention, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Nitin Gadkari in attendance. Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, and actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna were also present.

Naidu’s leadership played a pivotal role in the TDP-BJP-Janasena National Democratic Alliance’s resounding victory in both the Assembly and parliamentary elections. Recently, he was unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA in the Andhra Legislative Assembly during a meeting of TDP, Janasena Party, and BJP legislators.

The TDP holds a majority in Andhra Pradesh’s 175-member assembly, boasting 135 MLAs. Its allies, the Janasena Party and BJP, have 21 and 8 legislators, respectively. Meanwhile, the opposition YSR Congress Party has 11 members.

Overall, the swearing-in ceremony was a momentous occasion, bringing together political leaders, celebrities, and supporters to witness the beginning of Naidu’s latest term as Chief Minister.
