Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui: In cinemas

Ayushmann Khurrana is once again bringing a new concept with his film Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui which has been released in the theaters. Ayushmann’s character is named Manu who is the owner of the gym. Manu falls in love with Maanvi played by Vaani Kapoor, who is the Zumba trainer at the gym. The twist comes when Manu learns about Maanvi’s past as she discloses she is a trans woman. A two-hour film is a fast-paced film directed by Abhishek Kapoor talking of gender issues in the film with full dignity.

Aranyak: Netflix

This year on the digital platform, actress Raveena Tandon made her debut with the film Aranyak directed by Vinay Waikul. In the film, she is playing the role of a harried local cop named Kasturi Dogra who works as a team with Angad (Parambrata Chatterjee) on the murder case of a tourist teenager.

While solving the case, the struggle arises with old skeletons found and old forgotten myths being revived. If one is interested to watch Raveena acting after a long time this is a good film to watch on the platform Netflix.

Aarya 2: Disney Plus Hotstar

Sushmita Sen made her debut on the digital platform with the first season of ‘Aarya’ which went on to become super successful. After the success of the first season, the second season is here which has also impressed the critics and the audience.  Ram Madhvani’s Aarya 2 is once again leaving a new embark in the minds of the audience. Sareen is played by Sushmita Sen who will once again back to protect her family and children to all the extreme levels no matter if it is about challenging the drug mafia. The audience is now waiting for season 3 which makes it obvious that everyone is impressed well with the second season.

Adaptation of the famous Broadway musical ‘West Side Story’ has been released in theaters with the same name is directed by Steven Spielberg. The original film was made by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim. The film’s concept revolves around rival groups who belong to two separate ethnic groups, named white American Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks.

According to the critics, Spielberg has been able to add a modern twist on the timeless story which is worth watching.

Aar Paar: Amazon Prime Video

Guru Dutt, Shyama, and Shakila starring romantic comedy have been released on Amazon Prime Video. The film involves timeless melodies including, “Babuji Dheere Chalna”, “Ye Lo Main Haari Piya”, “Mohabbat Kar Lo Jee Bhar Lo” and “Sun Sun Sun Sun Zalima”. By the critic, the film is classified as comic noir as well as a suspense thriller with some light moments. From the classics, it is one of the films which is sure to bring a smile to your face.
