Baisakhi Celebrations: Hunar Gandhi, Dalljiet Kaur and Jasmin Bhasin share their Traditions and Way to Celebrate the Festival

Actress Hunar Gandhi is celebrating Baisakhi, a festival that holds a special place in her heart. Known for her roles in TV shows such as Patiala Babes and Tera Mera Saath Rahe, Hunar is excited about new beginnings in her life. She is excited to begin working on a short film and believes that Baisakhi is the perfect occasion to start afresh in her life.

Hunar offers prayers and seva at the Gurudwara to celebrate the festival alongside her husband Mayank Gandhi and her mother. They wake up early in the morning and head to the nearby Gurudwara to offer sewa, and Hunar enjoys the peaceful atmosphere of kirtans during prayer.

Hunar finds the experience of serving langar to be peaceful and filled with positive energy. She believes that Baisakhi is a time for soulful connections and looking forward to new beginnings. After returning from the Gurudwara, Hunar Gandhi celebrates Baisakhi with her family at home and enjoys a meal at a nice eatery in the evening. Mayank Gandhi, Hunar's husband, also eagerly anticipates the festival and joins his family in offering prayers together in the morning and wearing traditional costumes in the evening. For Mayank, Baisakhi is more than just a meal - it's about cherishing the love and togetherness of his family.

Dalljiet Kaur Celebrating Baisakhi on Foreign Land

Newlywed Dalljiet Kaur, who has taken her husband's surname, Patel, is looking forward to celebrating her first Baisakhi after marriage, which she considers being special. Currently in Kenya with her husband Nik Patel, Dalljiet expresses how Nik, despite being an NRI, respects Indian traditions and suggested that they celebrate Baisakhi together at a gurudwara.

The couple intends to celebrate all their first festivals and create memories with their children. When asked if being in a foreign land diminishes her enthusiasm for Indian festivals, Dalljiet affirms her true Indian roots and states that the traditions will hold the same value for her even though she is settling abroad. She believes that the level of enthusiasm for celebrating festivals is determined by one's upbringing, and notes that even in India, many people do not go all out in celebrating festivals.

Jasmin Bhasin Celebrating Baisakhi with Bright Colors:

Jasmin Bhasin is also all set to celebrate Baisakhi with a range of traditional Punjabi dishes, like chhole bhature, mithi lassi, halwa, makki ki roti with sarson ka saag, peele chawal and kadhi chawal, with kheer, coconut laddoos, and phirni. For Jasmin, visiting the Gurudwara is also an integral part of the celebration, where she finds a serene sense of peace and space. She enjoys doing sewa and partaking in the langar during her visit to the Gurudwara.

Calling Baisakhi a joyous and vibrant day, Jasmin explains that it is the Sikh New Year celebration and the spring harvest festival, during which Sikhs celebrate the wealth of crops and offer prayers for everlasting happiness. Jasmin likes to spread the cheer of the festival by incorporating bright colours in her décor and clothing, such as red, yellow, and orange. She believes that colors play an important role in spreading the contagious cheer of Baisakhi, and she plans to celebrate the day with great enthusiasm.

It's heartening to see celebrities like Jasmin Bhasin, Hunar Gandhi, and Dalljiet Kaur embracing and keeping their cultural traditions alive. By participating in activities such as visiting the Gurudwara, offering sewa, and cooking traditional meals, they are preserving their heritage and passing it on to future generations. Their efforts serve as a reminder that festivals like Baisakhi are not just about celebrations and festivities but also about connecting with one's roots and keeping cultural traditions alive.
