Controversy Surrounding Punjabi Singer Master Saleem Heads to Jalandhar Court; SHO's Actions Questioned
Punjabi singer Master Salim is currently dealing with legal issues as the matter has been brought up in court after getting involved in an issue for making controversial remarks about Mata Chintapurni at the Baba Murad Shah Mela in Jalandhar.
In response to the SHO at the Jalandhar Police Station Cantt refusing to file a case against Master Salim, Gaurav, a resident of Dewan Nagar, took legal action by registering a complaint under section 156 (3) of the CrPC. In his complaint, Gaurav asked the police station's supervisor to instruct the SHO to file a FIR.
Magistrate Miss Arpana has accepted Gaurav's plea and instructed the Cantt police station's SHO to provide a report and response regarding the complaint. The controversy stems from an incident where Master Saleem used objectionable language during a performance at the Baba Murad Shah Mela, an event associated with the Shahi Abdullah versus the Union of India case. This event took place as per the apex court's ruling on October 21 last year.
In his complaint, Gaurav urged the court to direct the Cantt police station to register a case against Master Saleem for his alleged remarks. Despite Master Saleem offering apologies for his comments, Gaurav and others involved in the matter have chosen to pursue legal action.
