The revelation was made by none other than the renowned Indian film critic, Taran Adarsh, who shared this intriguing news with cinema enthusiasts through his Instagram account. In his post, Taran confirmed, "Yes, it's official. This Christmas, prepare for a showdown between Shah Rukh and Prabhas, 'Dunki' and 'Salaar.' Audiences have been notified via email that #Salaar will grace the silver screen on December 22, 2023. The official announcement is set for September 29, 2023."
This clash of titans is not the first time Bollywood and South Indian cinema have gone head to head. Taran Adarsh went on to reveal that this marks the second occasion when #HombaleFilms and #SRK will be in direct competition. The previous instance was in 2018 when Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero' faced off against Yash's 'KGF.' In that battle, 'Zero' experienced a lackluster performance at the box office, while 'KGF' enjoyed a resplendent run.
