Fake News! TMKOC Fame Munmun Dutta, Raj Anadkat Refute Their Engagement Rumours

Popular for her role as Babita in the beloved TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,' actress Munmun Dutta broke her social media silence on Wednesday night. The reason? Reports circulating about her engagement to former co-star Raj Anadkat, who portrayed  Tappu in the same series. Munmun chose Instagram as her platform to address these rumors, marking her first post since the speculations began.

Munmun Dutta Refutes Engagement Rumours With Raj Anadkat

Sharing a series of throwback photos from her recent trip to New York City, Munmun wrote a cryptic note alongside them. "Living my best life. Sharing the last set of pictures from my NYC trip and photoshoot," she captioned. The images depicted Munmun posing stylishly on the streets of New York, dressed in a grey shirt paired with orange trousers, radiating her usual stunning aura.

According to undisclosed sources, Munmun, aged 36, and Raj, aged 27, allegedly exchanged engagement rings earlier this month, surrounded by their families in a quiet ceremony outside Mumbai. However, both Munmun and Raj swiftly dismissed these claims. Munmun addressed the issue directly, calling the news "ridiculous, fake, and ludicrous," asserting that there was no truth to it. Raj echoed her sentiments on his Instagram stories, denouncing the rumors as "false and baseless."

While Munmun continues to charm audiences with her portrayal of Babita, Raj bid farewell to "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah" in December 2022 after playing the role of Dilip Joshi's on-screen son, Tappu.

Meanwhile, Munmun and Raj's statement has now cleared the air about their relationship rumours.
