Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' will be Hit or Flop? Know advance booking response

Superstar Salman Khan's upcoming family action drama film "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" is set to release on April 21st, directed by Farhad Samji. This movie carries high expectations and serves as a litmus test for Salman's stardom. The advance booking for the movie was opened recently, and the initial response has been positive, which is a departure from the trend of lackluster pre-sales for most Bollywood movies post the COVID-19 pandemic.

Within just 24 hours of the advance bookings opening, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" had already grossed nearly 1 crore, with around 35,000 tickets sold for the opening day. In the three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis), it has sold around 15,000 tickets so far.

The good news for the movie is that it is showing a better advance booking trend in non-multiplex chains, which has always been a strong zone for Salman. With two days left before the release, during which the advance bookings usually peak, the movie is well on track to fetch decent-to-good pre-sales, making it among the best this year.

As far as the opening day box office is concerned, it is expected to be around 18 crores, which will be a good result considering the pre-Eid release. Salman's last full-fledged theatrical release, "Dabangg 3," opened at 23 crores net in the pre-COVID era.

"Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" is produced by Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios. It also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles, along with Bhumika Chawla, Shahnaaz Gill, Jassie Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Vijender Singh, and Palak Tiwari in supporting roles.

According to early trends, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" is set for a wide release on about 4,000 screens in India. With a runtime of just 2 hours and 24 minutes, the film will get a wide showcasing across the country. Lack of competition is also a major plus, as almost every screen in India will have "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" up for the audience.

Comparing advance booking sales with other recent films, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" has sold 20,000 tickets in the three chains (PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis) as of Wednesday afternoon. This number puts it ahead of several other films in the same time period, such as "Thank God," which had sold 8,200 tickets, and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2," which had sold 35,000 tickets. However, it falls short of the impressive pre-sales numbers for "Pathaan," which had sold over 2.25 lakh tickets at the same point in time.

Overall, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" is generating buzz and excitement among Salman Khan's fans and moviegoers alike, and the early indications suggest that it could be a hit at the box office.
