Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' Release Date Postponed to Avoid Clash with Prabhas's 'Salaar' ?
Shah Rukh Khan's box office reign continues as this year is shaping up to be his own. In the early months of 2023, "Pathaan" and "Jawan" set the box office abuzz. Adding to the excitement, Shah Rukh recently unveiled his third film of the year, "Dunki." He revealed that "Dunki" is slated for a Christmas release this year, much to the delight of his fans. In a twist of fate, Prabhas's upcoming film, "Salaar - Part 1," is also scheduled for a December release. Initially, there was a clash anticipated between "Salaar" and "Dunki," but reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan has decided to postpone the release of "Dunki."
The news of "Dunki" being postponed was shared by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan on social media. He conveyed, "There won't be a clash between 'Salaar' and 'Dunki.' Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' is being rescheduled, and Prabhas's 'Salaar' will hit theaters independently."
"Salaar" is all set to hit theaters on December 22. The release date for "Salaar" was officially revealed by the filmmakers last month. They unveiled the film's poster with the caption: "Coming Bloody Soon. Salaar C-Fire will have a worldwide release on December 22. In "Salaar," you can look forward to Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in prominent roles, with Prashanth Neel at the helm of direction.
As for "Dunki," the release date has yet to be disclosed. Shah Rukh Khan had indicated during an Ask SRK session that "Dunki" will see the light of day within this year. In "Dunki," Shah Rukh Khan shares the screen with Taapsee Pannu in a pivotal role, while Vicky Kaushal also takes on a significant character. The movie is under the direction of Rajkumar Hirani.
